Rathfinny Estate Rosé Brut 2016 Sparkling Wine 150cl
Rathfinny Estate Rosé Brut 2016 Sparkling Wine Magnum 150cl is created using 66% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Meunier grapes, hand-harvested from the Rathfinny Wine Estate in East Sussex. This is the second vintage of their Rosé Brut showcasing a beautifully expressive, red-fruit style.
The Rathfinny estate is the perfect site for growing sparkling wine grapes with thin, clay loam soils over chalk creating great sources of water for the vines and the semi-continental climate of the region being very similar to that of Champagne, France.

"Budburst was timely, though it was very wet prior to flowering which, as a result, was slightly later than usual. However, we had a successful fruit set, despite July and the early part of August coming in cooler than normal. The second half of August brightened up with some very warm days, with this dry weather continuing throughout September until the end of the season, we picked in the latter part of October."
Bright coral in colour with aromas of wild strawberries and mandarin zest leading to a soft mousse palate of cherries, candied red apple skin and silky strawberries.
Pairs excellently with salmon sashimi as well as smooth panna cotta with tart summer berries.
