Prats & Symington Chryseia Red Wine 2021 Portugal 75cl
Prats & Symington is considered an iconic red wine of Portugal. It is made from the strictest selection of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grapes from three vineyards: Quinta de Roriz, Quinta da Perdiz and Quinta da Vila Velha. Care is taken to extract only silky tannins from these perfectly ripe grapes.
The wine has been matured for 15 months in 400L French oak barrels, although the style of the wine is not at all dominated by the flavour of the wood. Their aim is always to produce a wine that combines ripeness and concentration with freshness and elegance.
Prats & Symington is a Douro estate that is focused primarily on unfortified wines. It was founded as a joint venture involving the renowned Bordeaux winemaker Bruno Prats (formerly of Cos d'Estournel) and the Symington family, leaders in the Port industry.
