Numanthia Tinta de Toro 2018 Red Wine Spain 70cl
Numanthia 2018 Red Wine is a 100% Tinta de Toro from Spain's Toro region and is named after the city which attempted to resist Roman rule.
When you sip on a glass of wine from Bodega Numanthia, one of Spain’s top producers, consider this: many of the vines that bore the fruit you are savouring were planted in the late 1800’s. Numanthia’s winemaking team believes some of the vines to be even older, dating back almost 200 years. It’s safe to say these vines are old and Numanthia, located about two and a half hours north of Madrid, is renowned for its sole focus on wines crafted from heritage vines.
The winery crafts only three red wines, all from a local strand of Tempranillo called Tinta de Toro. Their Termanthia is from vines 120 to possibly 200 years old, Numanthia is made from vines 50 -100 years old, and Termes, the “youngster” of the three, is from vines 30 -50 years old.
