Joseph Drouhin Rully Rouge 2019 150cl
Joseph Drouhin Rully Rouge 2019 is a Burgundy Pinot Noir from the southern subregion that is the Côte Chalonnaise. This wine offers some of the characteristics you might look for in a grand red Burgundy from some of the more famous appellations. It has delicate, pretty aromas and relies more on balance and grace than it does on power. Raspberries, peony, and a bit of oak spice give way to a fresh, medium to light-bodied palate.

Grape: Pinot Noir
"Beautiful bright ruby-red colour. Aromas of puréed raspberry, gooseberry, red currant, blackberry. With ageing, the aromas evolve towards riper notes of syrup, then tobacco and wet undergrowth. Pretty and refined on the nose. The flavours belong to those of a great Burgundy. Fresh, velvety texture ("gras"), elegant tannins, well meshed when the wine is mature. Long, refined aftertaste, with some touches of fruit jam.". Véronique Boss-Drouhin
This is supple enough to pair with a roasted meaty fish such as monkfish or turbot.
