Joseph Drouhin Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Prieur 2018 75cl
Joseph Drouhin Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Prieur 2018 offers a delicious expression of this Premier Cru vineyard. This vintage has ripe dark berry fruit, blackcurrant leaf, and a bit of clove spice, with a firm, mineral palate that is supremely well-balanced.
Maison Joseph Drouhin excels in producing elegant wines that articulate the nuances of terroir, through biodynamic farming principles and a gentle touch in the winery. In 2018 they were blessed with lovely weather and perfectly ripe fruit, allowing them to include some whole bunches in their Pinot Noir fermentations, which has contributed enhanced aromatics and a certain juicy freshness.

Cool, dark berry fruit with some fine, spicy notes. Medium-bodied, very pure, with oak elegantly integrated. Despite the heat of the vintage, this has a fresh, juicy character and is poised and precise.
