The Drouhin vineyard is located at the southern end of the Beaune appellation and this is the largest parcel of the Clos des Mouches. The harvest of these east/south-east facing slopes is all done by hand in small open crates. The wine is aged for 14 to 18 months in French oak barrels 20% new oak. The result is an exceptional, quality Beaune Pinot Noir.
Delicious to enjoy now, but has an ageing potential of up to 25 years.

Grape: Pinot Noir
Deep-red ruby in colour, the bouquet is fresh and intense, with dominating aromas of Morello cherry, blackberry and raspberry, with hints of complexity and smoky scents evolving towards liquorice. On the palate, the wine is very fresh, however as it ages, it will get rounder. In the mouth, it presents a velvety texture, supported by silky tannins; being lively and refined simultaneously.
A delicious match with roast pork and veal. Also a great match for Munster cheese.
