JL Colombo Terres Brulées Cornas 2019 is 100% Syrah from the granite slopes of Cornas in Rhône. The wine has been aged for 21 months in oak barrels, approximately 15% were new oak, and is a perfect showcase of the appellation's character. The result is deep, spicy and rich with notes of dark fruit and an intense finish.
Jean‑Luc Colombo is a notable and sometimes provocative figure in Rhône Valley winemaking. Originally a consultant who helped revitalize the Cornas region, he ultimately founded his own family-run domaine, now known for blending modern winemaking with terroir expression.

The 2019 JL Colombo Terres Brulées is a deep, intense red with violet hues. The nose is rich with notes of forest berries, blackcurrant, raspberries which are complemented by spicy layers of liquorice, coffee and smoky undertones. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated with powerful but refined tannins. The finish is long and lingering with a velvety texture.
The wine pairs well with côte de bœuf, roasted lamb, rich stews, game, and robust cheeses.
