JL Colombo Picpoul de Pinet 2024 is a single-varietal wine from Rhône made from 100% Piquepoul Blanc—often known as Picpoul de Pinet. It is renowned for its high acidity and coastal freshness. The wine is often referred to as the “Muscadet of the South,” owing to its zesty, marine-influenced style.
Jean‑Luc Colombo began his journey in Northern Rhône in the 1980s, evolving from an oenology consultant into a celebrated vigneron. His approach merges modern and sustainable viticulture practices, with much of his estate now pursuing organic certification.

Grape: Picpoul
The Picpoul de Pinet 2024 from JL Colombo has subtle and floral notes of white blossoms. The palate is fresh and nicely rounded with crisp citrus notes and a clear, mineral backbone. Lingering notes of citrus, green apple and grapefruit with a saline lift and dry, crisp finish.
The 2024 vintage pairs particularly with oysters and grilled or fried fish - the wine shines alongside classic Mediterranean seafood. It would also pairs well alongside sushi, Thai green curry and light salads with goats cheese.
