How do you open a Champagne bottle using a Champagne Sabre or Sword?

1. Hold the Champagne bottle at an angle of approximately 20 degrees and slide the blunt side of the Champagne sabre along the body of the bottle toward the neck.
2. As the blade hits the lip, the force of it breaks the glass and separates the collar and cork from the neck of the bottle. It is the impact of the saber that opens your bottle, not the sharpness. (The first glass poured should always be checked for small glass shards.)
