2020 vintage in Burgundy followed the recent patterns of a mild winter causing bud-break to happen early in Spring, bringing the eventual harvest forward. The summer was dry and warm, with low disease pressure and no unwelcome heat spikes. Cool nights facilitated good retention of acids, whilst the sunny days allowed flavour development in the grape skins. This is a wonderful vintage for white Burgundy.
The wine showcases a lively character, driven by fierce citrus flavours and a direct acidity, culminating in an elegant, and elongated finish.
The perfect pairing to grilled fish or an indulgent seafood platter, especially prawns, oysters or scallops.
