Château Léoville Poyferré 2017 Saint-Julien 75cl
Château Léoville Poyferré 2017 is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot and is a historic and highly respected wine from the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Classified as a Deuxième Cru Classé (Second Growth) in the 1855 classification, Poyferré sits among the elite Médoc estates and consistently produces wines of depth, precision and classical structure.
The 2017 vintage underwent typical Bordeaux vinification with fermentation in stainless tanks followed by ageing for 18–20 months in mostly new French oak, which helps integrate structure with nuanced oak influence. On the nose, intense black fruit of cassis, blackberry and wild blueberry are layered with notes of violets, spice, lavender and subtle mineral notes.
