Château La Gaffelière 2014 stands out for its elegance and precision. The 2014 vintage reveals a powerful, silky and racy harmony, and is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. A classic Saint-Émilion style Bordeaux, blending fruit richness with refined tannins in an approach that is elegant yet structured.
On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, with polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a harmonious structure that combines fruit richness with finesse rather than power. The 2014 vintage lends the wine a classic, refined style, making it both drinkable now and capable of further ageing.

Spring was nice and warm; it brought homogeneous births of fruits, and let us hope a heavy crop. Unfortunately weather conditions turned damp and numerous showers through late august made the Véraison last longer than usual. Luckily, the first week of September was hot and dry , and so, erased the difference in degrees of ripeness between the berries. The beautiful temperatures of September were salutary, an Indian summer after gloomy days. Maturity developed perfectly and the vines remained in good health.
The 2014 offers aromas of plum, violet, ripe black cherry and subtle herbal notes which are layered with hints of spice and cedar from oak ageing. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, with polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a harmonious structure that combines fruit richness with finesse rather than power. The 2014 vintage lends the wine a classic, refined style, making it drinkable now but also capable of further ageing.
Château La Gaffelière 2014 pairs perfectly alongside roast or grilled lamb, duck breast or mushroom-based dishes. Comté, Gruyère, or mild blue cheeses will also enhance the wine’s depth.
