Château La Fleur de Gay 2012 Pomerol Bordeaux 75cl
Château La Fleur de Gay 2012 is a refined and expressive Pomerol that showcases the appellation's rich and elegant Merlot. Produced from a tiny, highly regarded estate, the 2012 vintage has concentrated aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and blackberry, layered with notes of graphite, cocoa, and subtle spice from 18 months oak ageing. The wine can be enjoyed now, but has the structure for further ageing.
Château La Fleur de Gay manages a 2-hectare vineyard divided into three parcels on the appellation’s high terrace. Owned by the Raynaud-Lebreton family, whose roots date back to 1477, the estate lies along the medieval road connecting Saint-Émilion and Guîtres. The property occupies the site of the former historic village of Pomerol, in the hamlet of Pignon, situated in the northern part of the Bordeaux appellation.
