Château Bahans 2015 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion is a Bordeaux wine that is similar in style and elegance to its elder, the Château Haut-Brion red, and brings together all the unique attributes of a fine wine, while reaching maturity more quickly. The wine was renamed Le Clarence de Haut-Brion in 2007, in honour of Clarence Dillon, who acquired the property in 1935.
The blend, dominated by Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Cabernet Franc, delivers aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, cedar, tobacco, and subtle spice. The 2015 vintage reflects an outstanding year in Bordeaux and offers both richness and freshness.

The year 2015 appears to be the warmest and sunniest, throughout our country, since the beginning of meteorological statistics. A long heat wave and dry period allowed to achieve excellent flowering conditions until the arrival, in August, of miraculous rains. This rain enabled the vines to maintain the necessary water reserves and to provide requisite nourishment for perfect ripeness. The harvest began in September under a clear blue sky. Thanks to this ideal weather, the Winery were able to wait for optimum ripeness for each grape variety. All the conditions are there to allow 2015 to join the greatest vintages of Bordeaux.
The 2015 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion has ripe fruit on the nose, with an intense complexity. The palate is full-bodied with refined, tight-knit tannins. The wine leaves an impression of freshness and plenty of volume, without the heaviness.
Pair the 2015 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion alongside roasted or grilled meats, game dishes or mushroom-based dishes.
