Rare Cellar master, Emilien Boutillat, was born in Chaumuzy, is nestled below the vineyards of the Ardre valley; and with a double degree in agricultural engineering and oenology, he combines a Cartesian mind with a unique sensitivity to the terroir that can’t be reduced to mere formulas. His detailed, expert knowledge of responsible viticulture gives him exceptional expertise, which is driven by a cross-disciplinary approach.
