Bollinger PN VZ19 Brut Champagne is the fifth PN release by Bollinger and is 100% Pinot Noir. Each year and release is an expression of a different cru that highlights the distinctive terroir and taste. The Champagne was created using a majority of the 2019 base wine. It offers an insight into the House's mastery of the Pinot Noir grape variety.
PN VZ19 is a perfect wine for enthusiasts looking for different expressions of Pinot Noir to Champagne. PN VZ19 began its life in one of the Maison’s historic Grands Crus in the north of its vineyards. Blended here with terroirs from Aÿ to Louvois, wines from Verzenay are always full of freshness with a clearly defined, chiselled structure. With its depth, elegance, tension, and a saline finish evocative of the region’s characteristic chalky soils.
The nose is lively and expressive, with notes of red and exotic fruit notes. Delicate and ethereal aromas are present and harmonious. On the palate, white fruit and citrus notes mingle with notes of peach and blood orange. The texture is silky and supple and makes for an extremely elegant wine. The finish has a touch of salinity that adds a final dash of complexity to the wine.
This Champagne pairs perfectly with fish, lime and mango and peach foods.
