Bodegas Roda Cirsion 2016 Vintage Red wine is 89% Tempranillo and 11% Graciano from the Bodegas Roda, Rioja. The Cirsion 2016 is aged for only 8 months in 100% new French oak barrels and 4 months in bottle. The yearly production is just 7,000 bottles. Just 10 Roda grape pickers are trained and dedicated to picking their bunches. Agustín Santolaya and Carlos Díez regularly taste the grapes to determine the optimum ripeness levels and time for picking.

During the 2016 vegetative cycle, there was a total rainfall of 409mm, distributed mostly in the months prior to sprouting. At the end of the cycle, already in the month of September, there was a significant increase in temperature with a storm that favoured that ripening. A year of perfect maturation, with Mediterranean influence and great wines.
Very intense and complex, with all the character of the freat CIRSION wines: slight smokiness, with countless minor notes of black fruits and blackberries, an extremely smooth hint of violet in the background with a sweet spiciness conveying the smell of the earth before a rainstorm. Chocolate and mint as the climax to a luxurious composition of aromas that unfolds in the glass, producing a wonderful array of bouquets.
