Van Winkle 12 Year Old, often referred to as "Lot B", is part of the Van Winkle Special Reserve series from the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery. Produced at the Buffalo Trace distillery, it follows the original Pappy recipe. The whiskey is enviably smooth and wonderfully well-balanced, making it a Kentucky bourbon that is hard to forget.
Aged for a minimum of 12 years and bottled at a medium proof, it is sweet and full-bodied, combining the maturation and proof that have been considered by many as the 'Perfect Combination.'

Notes of caramel, vanilla and honey on the nose make way for deeper notes of toasted oak, nutmeg and hints of dried fruit. The mouthfeel is silky and smooth, with layered notes of cinnamon, toffee and toasted almonds. There is excellent harmony between sweetness and wood spice. The finish is medium-long with lingering notes of oak, vanilla and a touch of leather and tobacco.
