Produced in the famous Valpolicella style of Ripasso, where part of the grape skins and seeds are left to dry before being added to the wine during the fermentation process, Tommasi 'Ripasso' Valpolicella Classico Superiore has a deep ruby red in colour and rich spicy perfumes and black pepper notes with a hint of raisins. The blend of 70% Corvina Veronese, 25% Rondinella and 5% Corvinone aged for 15 months in Slavonian Oak barrels of 65 hectoliters generates a full bodied wine with balanced taste, very intense and spicy with sweet cherry flavours that make it a natural companion to both white and red meat, game as well as fresh and aged cheeses.
