Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2011 Rosé 75cl

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2011 Rosé is a prestigious and unique release that is made entirely from Grand Crus in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims regions. The blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay is enhanced with the addition of 14% still red wines from Bouzy.
A slow maturation process ensures the champagne has reached optimal development. The 2011 vintage has undergone over 10 years of ageing in the Saint-Nicaise chalk cellars that date back to Gallo-Roman times. This maturation allows the champagne to reveal itself at its own pace with a most balanced expression.

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
The 2011 growing season was sunny, with a cold and dry winter. Summer was gloriously sunny, with almost no rain in August and September. The harvest was incomparable in terms of quality, and the grapes produced were consistent, crunchy and fresh.
On the nose, the notes are precise, revealing notes of black fruit, cherry, and acacia blossom. The palate offers delicious notes of gingerbread, mandarin peel, and mint, which are combined with scents of sweet spice. Overall, the 2011 vintage is fresh with a fruity expression and an aromatic finesse.
