Suntory Hakushu 12 Year Old is a wonderful peated Japanese Single Malt Whisky from the Hakushu distillery, owned by Suntory. The Hakushu is the Japanese connoisseurs choice, that has aromas of pear with a hint of citrus. There is a subtle smokiness throughout.
The distillery was built in 1973 and is set amidst spectacular pine forests close to Japanese Alps. Hakushu is the second Single Malt distillery from Japan’s first and most awarded Japanese Whisky producer Suntory. Inspired by Japan’s natural forests, Suntory created 200 acres of nature sanctuary in which to produce Hakushu Single Malt.

The nose is light and crisp with fresh notes of pear, sweet mixed peels and a hint of citrus and hazelnut. The palate is clean with notes of fresh cut fruits, gentle barley malt and a gentle smokiness throughout. The finish is sweet and spicy.
