Ruinart Rosé Champagne NV, as with all Ruinart champagnes, is made with a high proportion of Chardonnay giving great finesse and elegance - so characteristic of Ruinart champagnes. Presented in an innovative, authentic and environmentally conscious 'second skin' that preserves Ruinart's taste right up until serving. This is a 100% recyclable mould that uses no plastic or glue and is produced using pulped paper in order to reduce waste whilst keeping with the aesthetic styling of the Ruinart House. 

Ruinart Rosé, the “cuvée gourmande” of the House, is the deliciously fruity feature of the Ruinart taste. With its very recognisable bottle from the XVIIIth Century, Ruinart Rosé takes on a charming springtime colour of delicate pomegranate rosé with very light orange reflections. The sparkling, light effervescence has a persistent ring of beads. Supple, rounded and generous, Ruinart Rosé offers a complex, intense aromatic richness.

The nose is fresh and subtle, ripe with cherry and freshly picked red berries, followed by a splash of flowers and spicy notes. The wine is silky and delicately fleshy & colour is a delicate pomegranate pink with very slightly orange reflections. The sparkling, light effervescence has a persistent foam. Presented in an elegant 18th century style bottle, this champagne reveals such a fresh, distinctive, Rosé petal pink colour. Intense, fruity and aromatic, Ruinart Rosé owes its sensual elegance to the marriage of Chardonnay mainly from the Chardonnay Premiers Crus of the Côte des Blancs, and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, made into red wine.

This perfectly balanced Rosé champagne is the luminous, yet refined, expression of a blend of two grape varieties based on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, mostly Premiers Crus, with 20 to 25% being reserve wines from the two to three previous years. The intense, fruity, aromatic Ruinart Rosé cuvée owes its elegant harmony to 45% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims vineyards and to 55% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne vineyards, 18 to 19% of which have been made into red wine. Each harvest is very carefully gathered by hand. With a moderate dosage (about 9 g/l), the texture of Ruinart Rosé is clean and sharp, embued with freshness and delicacy.

The nose is fine, subtle, fresh and spring-like, evoking fragrances of red fruits, cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and red berries. Their relatively young primary aromas present a wonderful bouquet. On the palate the first impression is balanced and fresh. The wine is supple, round and silky on the palate, developing fruity notes, with a deliciously bold finish.

The Second Skin Packaging is Actually Very Elegant
I love the move away from gift box to the second skin packaging. The bottles look very modern and elegant while promoting sustainability. Obviously the Champagne itself is beautiful as well!
