Pietradolce Etna Rosso Archineri Red Wine 2018 Italy 75cl
Pietradolce Etna Rosso Archineri is sourced from 80 to 90 year old nerello mascalese vines that are planted on their own roots. Natural fermentation is followed by 14 months in French oak tonneaux. This is a distinctive wine, totally unique to the volcanic soils of Etna. Etna Rosso is often compared to great red Burgundy, with its seductive perfume and gorgeously ethereal, silky palate.
Pietradolce was founded in 2005, and comprises a modest 11 hectares of vineyards. Their focus is on old bush vines of exclusively autochthonous grape varieties, which they farm with great reverence to the land. Pietradolce crafts extraordinarily delicious, terroir-driven wines with a light touch that enhances their purity.
