Meerlust Merlot Red Wine 75cl is the perfect wine gift. Meerlust, one of the Cape's most historic wine estates, was originally planted in 1693. In 1756, it was purchased by the first Myburgh and has been the pride of the family ever since. Today, after seven generations, Hannes Myburgh, the present owner, continue the great family tradition of winemaking.
This is a juicy, opulent and rich wine that is a perfect example of the variety. It has an ageing potential of 10-15 years, and will age gracefully, gaining complexity and suppleness of tannin for many years to come.

Grape: Cabernet Franc, Merlot
Presenting as deep ruby red in colour, the wine showcases classic merlot aromas of dark cherry, black plum and dried herbs, complemented by scents of tobacco and mocha. The palate is overflowing with flavours of juicy dark fruit, yet still delicate in the finish. It showcases intricate cherry tobacco flavours and a fine acidity.
Enjoy on it's own, or pair with meaty, rich dishes.
