Louis Roederer 2017 Vintage Rosé Champagne is a fresh and fruity vintage that benefited from years of developing a unique technique for producing Rosé. Their process is referred to as 'infusion' and brings out the juicy, ripe characteristics of Pinot Noir whilst still maintaining the varietal's exceptional freshness.
Louis Roederer only make a Vintage Rosé, the Champagne has a stunning pink hue with golden tints and soft rising beads of balanced bubbles. The nose is complex and aromatic leading to a delicate, elegant palate, with a silky texture and a chalky freshness.

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
The bouquet exudes aromas of forest fruit, namely raspberries and strawberries, with citrus notes, and some zesty and powdery petal-like hints. In the mouth, the palate is caressingly soft, with a velvety texture that gently evaporates, giving way to a cloud of slightly spicy perfumes.
It is a fantastic pairing with fish such as salmon and tuna; meat including lamb, veal, guinea fowl, wood pigeon and even pheasant; and also soft cheeses such as Chaource and Brillat-Savarin. It can also be served with red fruit-based desserts that are less sweet, such as a red fruit zabaglione or a red fruit gratin.

Stunning rose
Roederer makes a stunning Rose', usually in a fresher, crunchier style with an emphasis on finesse and complexity. The magnum format raises this wine to another level, and it is a rose' champagne I would age with confidence.
