Louis Pommery English Brut NV Sparkling Wine 75cl
Louis Pommery Sparkling English Wine is the first English Sparkling to come from a Champagne house and is therefore a genuine product of innovation. This wine was created in order to offer a high quality wine to the market that reflects the pre-established reputation of Champagne Pommery.
It is created in Hampshire using a thoroughly classic and traditional method focussing on two renowned Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir is predominant throughout with the Chardonnay grapes adding a lightness and finesse to the wine. This wine has been aged on lees to achieve the desired maturity and disgorged to remove the sediments that give the wine its full-bodied character.
The pale, yellow straw colour alongside fine, continuous bubbles creates a wine that is full of life and freshness evident on the nose which carries citrus, white peach and pear notes.

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Grapes used for this English Sparkling are from the young vineyards in Hampshire and the date of harvest is carefully controlled in order to obtain the best possible balance between sugars and acids. The harvest is done manually and the pressing is done with the same technique used in Champagne in order to ensure the finest juices are obtained.
On the nose, this wine is fresh and delicate with hints of lemon and pears leading to a similarly light palate with a pure and clean finish. The dosage is well controlled so not to give any sweet sensation yet beautiful balance and harmony is still maintained throughout.
This sparkling wine is perfect as an aperitif on a sunny day accompanied by some raw vegetables, thin slices of Iberico lomo or light seafood and shellfish.
