Lanson Vintage Collection Champagne 1979 is a blend of 48% Chardonnay and 52% Pinot Noir. Lanson has released a special collection of truly remarkable fine vintage champagnes, each converted bottle has been carefully curated by Hervé Dantan the Chef des Caves since 2015. Every bottle in this vintage collection is a combination of the finest grapes from a single vintage year, which undergo extensive lees ageing, yet retain the Lanson spirit of Champagnes that are fruity, powerful, crisp and elegant.

A cold start with the vintage improving after May, with a warm June and July. Towards the end of the vintage gentle heat perfect to finish ripening.
Filled with complex layers of cooked fruits, fresh citrus, dried apricots and marmalade. exceptional length on the finish reminiscent of honey, orange peel and spice.
Its savoury characters pair well with scallops and whitefish. Delicious with aged comté cheese.
