The Lani Marlborough Gewürztraminer 2022 has an excellent texture, weight and sweetness, which is well balanced with the acidity present in the wine. The wine is complex and showcases a good length, making it the perfect food wine and a brilliant addition to any dinner table.
The grapes used to create this wine were grown in New Zealand, on a vineyard located next to a plain by the Opawa river, from vines that are 15-20 years old. To add complexity to the blend, 90% of the wine is combined with selected yeasts and fermented in stainless-steel tanks, whilst the remaining 10% was fermented in 'wild' aged barrels.

The wine has a floral bouquet, with tones of sweet spices. On the palate, there are lifted flavours of crystalised ginger and Turkish delight.
This wine pairs well with a variety of dishes, particularly dishes with spicy, aromatic notes, making it an excellent pairing for Asian cuisine. The wine's spicy notes and fruit flavours would make it a brilliant pairing for Thai green curry with prawns, but would also complement dishes with basil, ginger or Szechuan spices.
