Lacourte Godbillon Chaillots 2016 Vintage Champagne 75cl
Lacourte Godbillon Chaillots 2016 Vintage Champagne 75cl is made with pinot noir grapes from the Les Chaillots vineyard planted in 1966.
The Lacourte & Godbillion families have owned these vines for many generations, located in the Premier Cru village of Écueil on the west bank of the "Petite Montagne de Reims." Champagne vines were first planted before 1947; however, Jean-Guy Lacourte and Claudine Godbillon harvested their first crop in 1968 under the name Lacourte-Godbillion. Nearly 40 years later, in 2006, Richard Desvignes and Geraldine Lacourte made the decision to leave their executive jobs in the city and return to the family vineyard. They have completely discovered a new way of life and they are committed to upholding the philosophy of their ancestor, Jean-Guy Lacourte: "Only the highest quality grapes can produce a high-quality wine."
