La Crema Monterey Chardonnay White Wine 2019 California 75cl
La Crema Monterey Chardonnay comes from several vineyards in one of the windiest cool-climate coastal regions in California. The low temperatures and windy conditions allow slow ripening and extended hang-time, resulting in ripe flavours combined with taut acidity and minerality.
The quality of the fruit is preserved in the winery, with very gentle handling of the fruit and understated use of oak that sees only 16% new barrels, mostly French oak with a little bit of American oak too. The wine is aged for 5 to 6 months on the lees, with occasional stirring to enhance the texture of the wine.
