The Experimental Grain is produced at the Loch Lomond Distillery from peated malted barley which is distilled in their copper Coffey still. The Experimental Grain is in many ways the alter ego to Hedonism a grain whisky made only from malt. The Compass Box Whisky Company is a specialist Scotch whisky maker was founded in 2000 by John Glaser.
