Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé is a classy rosé, the first vintage from this restored vineyard, it is a barrel-aged blend made only from grapes that were farmed on the estate in accordance with Cru Classé regulations.
Although, unlike other premium Provençal rosés, it comes in an amber glass container that weighs only 499g and is constructed from 70% recycled glass.
Château Galoupet Cru Classé is crafted from their own grapes, grown on small individual plots converted to organic viticulture (FR-BIO-16).
The rosé is a blend of Grenache: 49%, Syrah: 15%, Tibouren: 15%, Rolle: 12%, Cinsault: 7%, Mourvèdre, Cabernet and Sémillon: 2%.

2021 got off to an unusual start for Provence. After an early budburst at the beginning of March, freezing temperatures in April affected the earliest vines. The maturation cycle was delayed by about ten days and the vines weren’t able to catch up during the season. This was because after a wet spring a dry summer followed. These weather conditions delayed the harvest which was from the 20th of August to the 15th of September and several different time slots were required to pick grapes on the same plot.
An aromatic, expressive bouquet, with irresistible aromas of fresh strawberries and raspberries, complemented by subtler citrus and white peach scents and underpinned by hints of floral undertones and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is crisp, refreshing and lively, showcasing a vibrant acidity. Strong flavours of citrus and red berry, balanced by tones of apricot and melon. The wine is silky smooth in texture, and displays a delicious minerality that is reflective of the vineyard's terroir.
