Antinori Tenuta Tignanello Red Wine 2020 Italy 75cl
Antinori Tignanello 2020 is superb in this vintage. It has exceptional finesse and clarity, with expressive aromas, focused red fruit, sleek and silky tannins, and a supremely well-balanced finish.
Tignanello is one of the most influential wines of Italy. First made in 1970, it became one of the first Supertuscans in 1971, when it had to be labeled as a lowly table wine despite its obvious quality. It was a pioneering wine: it was the first Sangiovese to be aged in small barriques, the first to use international grape varieties in the blend and one of the first red wines in Chianti to be made without the inclusion of white grape varieties.
Tenuta Tignanello is a 788-acre estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, and the home of two vineyard jewels in the Antinori crown: Tignanello and Solaia. They also make a superb Chianto Classico Riserva.
