Abraham & the Heretics Pinotage Red Wine South Africa 75cl
Pinotage is often seen as South Africa's signature variety, a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. First cultivated in 1925 by Abraham Izak Perold who was the first Professor of Viticulture at Stellenbosch University.
This Pinotage has been created by Richard Kelley, Master of Wine, for importer Dreyfus Ashby. “Abraham and the Heretics is something of a tongue-in-cheek challenge to Pinotage non-believers to accept the variety into their vinous lives”. - Richard Kelley.

This a bold and spicy wine mixed in with dark fruits, red cherries, plums and a savoury finish. Well-integrated tannins a perfect grip.
Would work with big flavours including chilli con carne or slow cooked beef casserole.
