Louis Roederer Cristal 2007 Vintage Champagne Jeroboam of vintage Champagne from Louis Roederer is produced from grapes of the finest plots of Louis Roederer's vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs including Ay, Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger. 20% of the wines are matured in large oak casks which undergo weekly batonnage. There is no malolactic fermentation. The wine spends an average of 5 years ageing in the cellars then rests for a further 8 months post disgorgement. The dosage is about 9 g/l. Brilliant clarity with delicate pale gold nuances, combined with an ultra-fine, persistent, soft effervescence.
