Tinta Barroca
Tinta Barroca is a red wine Portuguese grape, mainly grown in the Douro region and some plantings in South Africa. In Portugal, it is used commonly as a blending grape in Port wine, while in South Africa as a varietal.
This wine is a medium bodied with scents of ripe plum, mulberries, juicy raspberry jam, spice and cocoa powder. The tannin is rather soft and the easiest pairing will be with grilled red meats, warming casseroles, roast chicken or cheese.
