Taittinger Champagne's latest Collection Champagne is the Sow 2002. Born in 1951 in Saint-Louis, Senegal, Amadou Sow grew up on Goree Island. From a young age, he developed the foundations of his art, rooted in the soil, the sand and the rocks; the very materials that gave him self-expression. He began his artistic career with rock sculptures in the 1970s, turning then towards rigid and transparent plexiglass, and finally to ceramics. The artist's paintings reflect his life, coloured by journeys and encounters. In 1972 Sow settled in Vienna where he attended the prestigious 300-year-old Academy of Fine Arts. He describes the universe as being at the heart of the artist's mission which he aims to convey as a message through his paintings.

Chardonnay
Pinot Noir
Grape Blend:
50% Chardonnay from the ¶®Grands Crus¶¯ of the CÇïte des Blancs and 50% Pinot Noir from the ¶®Grands Crus¶¯ of the Montagne de Reims and the start of the VallǸe de la Marne.
The colour of the Taittinger Brut Millésimé 2005 is a shimmering golden yellow. The effervescence is frank with an abundant rise of bubbles. The nose reveals a beautiful aromatic intensity. After the first floral notes, in which we can make out a hint of honeysuckle, come riper fruity and generous fragrances of raisins and hot and honeyed fruits such as greengage plums. The attack is fresh with an indulgent quality reminiscent of the flavour of syrupy preserved fruits. On the palate, unctuosity and suppleness complete the qualities of balance and richness. A real finesse becomes apparent in an aftertaste that is also long and complex.
This wine is perfect for an aperitif and is an ideal accompaniment for white meats served with a sauce and veal with mushrooms.
