Mackmyra Distillery - Mackmyra Svens Ek Edition 70cl
The Mackmyra Svensk Ek Edition Whisky is their first core range bottling, crafted from local ingredients and without additives. The majority of this Whisky is aged in 100 litre casks, providing a powerful maturation. The base is the elegant recipe, matured in first fill bourbon and stored 50 feet below ground in the Bodas Mines.
The nose is fruity with pear apple and honey. A hint of oakiness with sweet, lightly toasted bread notes and fresh butter toffee. With the use of newly manufactured Swedish Oak casks a delightful spiciness is given on the palate with similar notes from the nose of honey caramel and citrus fruit with a very pleasant finish.
