Cloudy Bay Te Koko 2016 Vintage White Wine New Zealand was made breaking the winemaking rules to create a sophisticated style of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc made through wild fermentation and ageing in old French oak.
Cloudy Bay Te Koko is an individual expression of the sauvignon blanc grape, a complex and savoury wine that is both deliciously aromatic and richly textured. Released as a mature wine, it is a full-bodied, alternative style of sauvignon blanc from Cloudy Bay.

"The 2016 season was one of the driest that the Marlborough region has experienced since the wine industry was established in the province. A cool start to the growing season created numerous frost events that provided continuing challenges right up until flowering. The months of January to April were all warmer than average, providing excellent ripening conditions, similar to the excellent 2015, 2014 and 2010 seasons."
On the nose, this vintage is beautifully aromatic with notes of ripe citrus and stone fruit with hints of gentle spice. The palate is taut with grapefruit and white nectarine flavours and a mouthwatering texture.
