Hidalgo La Gitana Pedro Ximenez Triana Sherry 50cl
Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana Pedro Ximenez Triana Sherry 50cl is produced with grapes that are initially allowed to dry in the sun on straw mats, concentrating the sweetness of the grape juice. They are then pressed and vinified, before long ageing in soleras of American oak. The resultant wine has an intense dark treacle colour and a rich and luscious texture.
"Warm rye, caraway and buckwheat notes lead the way, followed by Turkish coffee and halva accents. The finish rolls through, with a thick, viscous feel. Drink now." 92 Points awarded by James Molesworth tasting May 31, 2018.
