Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque Edition Premiére 2007 Champagne 75cl
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Edition Première 2007 Champagne is the new expression of a vintage champagne reserved to taste exclusively in spring. An ephemeral cuvée as an ode to the beauty of nature.
Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps has drawn his inspiration from the promising beauty of nature and the delicate scents of the Maison Belle Epoque garden, Perrier-Jouët’s historical house and has fashioned the cuvee Belle Epoque Edition Première as he would compose a spring bouquet. With a unique peach tint colour due to the presence of Pinot Noir, the nose is a delicate spring bouquet dominated by the aromas of white flowers (elderflower), yellow fruit (peach), citrus flavours (Yuzu zest) and notes of red fruit such as cherriesRead more...

and Morello cherries. On the palate a fresh and lively attack, with a metallic, iodized hint and a light acidity. Its final rounded note is ample and generous.
Floral, stylish, and diamond-cut, the cuvée Belle Epoque Edition Première achieves the ideal balance between a vintage wine and the constant elegance of the Perrier-Jouët style. Matured for at least 5 years in the cellars of the House. (Note. Gift box has 'mint' tones but not as much as current image).
In the early 1900s, the Art Nouveau movement burst into life, drawing its inspiration from the lines and movements of nature, inviting beauty and poetry into daily life and artist and master glass maker Emile Gallé was one of the movement's pioneers. He designed the iconic anemone wreathed in gold that was placed on the bottle of the first Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque vintage in 1964, turning it into a work of art the history of which unfurls and continues to this day. Today the Belle epoque range are still painted with his elegant Japanese anemones.
