Paddy Borthwick Wairarapa Riesling 2016 is a beautiful medium-bodied off-dry Riesling from Gladstone New Zealand in the family owned and managed Borthwick Vineyard. Paddy Borthwick prides himself on sustainable practices with minimal intervention so each wine can showcase their single vineyard characteristics and flavour.
Their Riesling is picked and pressed quickly for a slow, cool fermentation which is stopped once they feel they have the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. 2016 saw early spring growth and a long growing season with a hot summer and harvest allowing the grapes to reach their full ripening potential.
