Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage 2012 Champagne 75cl
Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Champagne 2012 is Moet & Chandon's 74th Vintage release. Each Grand Vintage is unique and possesses the distinctive, imitable qualities of that year’s outstanding grapes, qualities which have been elevated to their fullest expression through the savoir-faire, experience and expertise of Moët & Chandon and the House’s chef de cave.
The 2012 Grand Vintage evokes the transition from spring to summer. It offers superb harmony, accompanied by softness and freshness. This vintage’s red grape varieties were particularly good, especially the Meunier, which explains their dominant proportion in the blend. The Chardonnay stays in the background. Initial notes of fresh white flowers evolve towards sweet, fragrant pastries, with occasional scents of fresh walnuts, hazelnuts and biscuits. In parallel, the fruit is crisp, freshly ripened, with aromas of pear, white peach and nectarine. Available on Next Day UK Delivery.

Parker. 92 / 100 Disgorged in February 2018 with five grams per litre dosage, Moët's 2012 Brut Extra Large Vintage is showing well, with an expressive bouquet of ripe yellow fruit orchard, peaches, toasted nuts, warm bread and honeycomb. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with a tangy buttery core of fruit, nicely integrated acids and a pinpoint mousse, concluding with an attractively fruit-driven finish. The 2012 article is about Moët's push for fruit ripening, and it's already quite accessible.Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot NoirThe 2012 vintage is gentle, fresh and harmonious. The nose is floral developing into aromas of sweet pastry, walnuts and hazelnuts, then ripe white peach and nectarine. A soft-textured champagne, its initial sweetness gives way to a more structured acidity. A persistent finish reveals a hint a zesty note of pink grapefruit.Pairs perfectly with fish, seafood or veal.
