Kilikanoon Mort's Block Riesling 2019 is a fantastic example of a Clare Valley Riesling, an area of South Australia famed for producing beautiful dry wines from the Riesling grape. Named after Mort Mitchell, father of the founder and winemaker Kevin Mitchell, the Mort's Block vineyard is carefully tended to with traditional methods of rod and spur pruning and handpicking of the grapes.
The Clare Valley is considered to offer near perfect conditions as the ripening process is slowed down and drawn out for full development of the classic citric and floral notes of this variety while preserving the acidity.
