Henri Giraud MV16 Fut de Chene NV 75cl is a distinct and unique style of Champagne. It is comprised of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, with one-third of the base wine taken from the 2016 harvest, and the rest from a Solera system with reserve wines dating back to 1990. Disgorgement took place in December 2020 after 12 months of vinification over full lees in Argonne oak barrels.

This is a wonderful Champagne, multifaceted with great complexity, chalky reflecting the Terroir and slightly smoky, with warming spices of ginger and vanilla. The extended oak ageing is the key to the depth of this wine adding elegant toast and woody notes, very typical of this House's style.
This is a bold Champagne style and can hold up to big flavours, try with foie gras or roast pork.
