Cloudy Bay Te Wahi Pinot Noir 2014 Red Wine 75cl
Cloudy Bay Te Wahi Pinot Noir 2014 75cl was the first vintage born from the alliance of Cloudy Bay's two owned-vineyards, Calvert and Northburn. This is a rich, fruity and decadently sweet Pinot Noir from the most southerly and continental terroir of Central Otago.
"It takes time to understand 'the place'. With our work in this region, we have come to learn the raw terroir and to hone our skills in expressing Central Otago Pinot Noir through the Cloudy Bay winemaking lens." - Jim White, Technical Director at Cloudy Bay.Read more...

"A fragrant, floral pinot that is a blend of the Calvert and Northburn Station Vineyards in Central Otago. Notes of sappy and stone-flecked red-cherry fruits with spicy and smoky complexity; the palate is succulently ripe and has a handy freshness. Long-layered tannins abound with plenty of juicy plum and dark-cherry flavours." Awarded 93 Points - James Suckling

"Vibrant and much more muscular than the Marlborough Pinots from this address. Vegy and solid. Lots to get your teeth into – very different from Marlborough. Light sweetness. No need to build structure into this!
Drink 2017-2024." Awarded 17 Points - Jancis Robinson
The fruit is cold-soaked for 5 days prior to the wild yeast fermentation in stainless steel tanks that takes between 2-3 weeks. Following this, the wine ages for 14 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
