Chateau Musar 1988 Bekaa Valley Lebanon Red Wine 75cl
Chateau Musar 1988 Red Wine is an excellent vintage with great potential. The intense, spiciness makes the wine seem younger than it is and gives a more lively sense to the vintage. The mouth-feel is smooth and memorable with good, solid acidity.
The political situation in 1988 was tense but there was no shelling. The Musar of that year is a lovely, lazy, dust wine beginning to turn chocolatey. A powerful Musar with scents of rich, dusty plums and a palate that lies quietly and then roars at the very end.
