Marie Demets Champagne

In 1987, Marie Brément married Alain Dements who used to rent vines from the Brément family. Upon Marie's father's retirement, Alain took over the House who was then succeeded by their son, Pierre who has now taken over the family business. Marie Demets Champagne House is located in the Aube in southern Champagne, an area known for its outstanding Pinot Noir. As a grower champagne, the grapes are harvested purely from grapes grown in the House's own vineyards, the majority of which are Pinot Noir with a small percentage of Chardonnay.

THROUGH THE GENERATIONS

André Brément began planting vines while he worked in other vineyards. During this time, he slowly started to develop and create his own operation using the valuable knowledge he had built up. His son-in-law, Alain Demets, took over the family estate when André retired and so, created Champagne Marie Demets, named after his wife.

The family tradition has been passed down and now continues under the leadership of their son, Pierre Demets, the head winemaker.
