The nose is aromatic with floral and spicy notes as well as wild black cherry, lavender and hints of orange marmalade. As it opens, there are hints of cardamom, cocoa nib, leather and liquorice. The palate is rich and juicy with flavours of plum, mulberries and blackberries as well as oaky hints and orange peel. Chewy tannins and a silky texture make this a complex and detailed wine.
